INTEGRATED REAL-TIME IMAGE CAPTURE FOR TELEMETRY SYSTEM VALIDATION

A false alarm is a common problem in real-time monitoring for the early warning system. The critical information such as overshoot of threshold value of water level needs to be validated. An Automatic visual monitoring system was installed to overcome the problem.

Early Warning Systems need a visual cross-check for validation of critical data received from the online monitoring station, false information will lead to wrong decisions. Programmed Visual monitoring system using CCTV controlled by Raspberry installed in a critical location to monitor the changing of water level in rivers and dams. The system uses 2 cameras, First camera takes a detailed picture of level water (level scale) the second camera takes the image to monitor the wider situation around the location.

Realtime Image Capture from Telemetry station 

The function of Raspberry is controller also logger for CCTV using LINUX Operating system and application. The Application is installed in the external memory for controlling image capture from both cameras, stored locally, and sending the image to the Public Ip address of the server using FTP protocol.
